At this time in the history of man, a great deal of hatred is being expressed against individuals whose lifestyle is described in the title of this brochure. Much of this hatred is expressed by well-meaning people who are very concerned about the way the world is going. Many of them profess to believe the Bible is the word of God. Many of them claim to be Christians. Many well-meaning people feel that the Bible condones expressions of hatred or acts of violence toward people who live in these ways.
Interestingly enough, most of the feelings expressed are toward those who fall into the category of Homosexual or "Gay" men and Lesbian women. There seems to be a double standard in society when two out of the four lifestyles described cause expressions of hatred and violence and the other two are looked upon as acceptable conduct.
If you think the Bible teaches that God hates homosexuals and lesbians, you are very wrong. On the other hand, if you believe that God condones the conduct of the fornicator and the adulterer, you are wrong.
The God of the Bible loves people of all persuasions, all races and all lifestyles, because, He is love. *1 In fact, the Bible tells us that God loves us so much that even though He doesn't approve of our conduct at times, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die for our sins. *2 In fact, the Bible tells us that we are not really responsible for the fact that we have a sinful nature. *3 We inherited it from our grandfather, Adam. Because of that one man's sin, sin entered the world and we all became sinners.
In fact, God loves all sinners, (the proud, the selfish, the covetous, the mean, the hateful, and the immoral) so much that He made it possible for each of us to be forgiven our sins and have a meaningful relationship with Him. The only thing that prevents us from this relationship is not accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. In fact, Jesus Christ is the light that lights every man that comes into the world, *4 he came into this world because he loved us not because he hates us. He said, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." *5 He came, "to seek and to save that which was lost." *6
Since God is a loving God, and since the wages of sin is death, *7 disappointment, disillusionment and heartache, God has warned us about lifestyles that, in time, will cause us to be disappointed and disillusioned. In fact, he says there is a way that seems right to men, but the end of that way is a way of death. *8 Being a loving God, it is necessary that He warn us. So God has made it very clear that unfulfilling conduct is defined in the Bible in such a way that we can be warned and turn away from it. One of the clear warnings from the Bible is,
Romans 1:21-32
Professing to be wise, they became fools ... who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions Even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature «lesbian women». Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, «gay men» and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; Being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, «fornicators and adulterers» wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evilmindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
The observation might be made that this quotation speaks of hatred for the people guilty of any or all of these sins but this is not the case.
God, because He loves you, gives you this information before it is too late to change your life. In addition, He has made it possible for you to change. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, He enables you to have victory over habits and lifestyles that are unfulfilling. The apostle Paul said, he could do all things through Christ Jesus *10 and when one accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior old things pass away and all things become new. *11
God loves all sinners, but He doesn't love sin. Christians should love all people but we should not love or tolerate sin. In fact, Christians are told to have no fellowship with sinful lifestyles but to reprove and warn them. *12
So many times, people seek counseling, they read and they study, trying to find peace of mind or purpose for life, but they fail to realize they were born alienated from God. They need Jesus Christ as their Savior to enable them to fill the void in their life. Without Him they travel many wrong roads. Remember,
John 3:16-19
For God so loved (adulterers, homosexuals, lesbians, fornicators and you) that He gave His only begotten Son, that, (adulterers, homosexuals, lesbians, fornicators and you) if they believe in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn (adulterers, homosexuals, lesbians, fornicators and you), but that they through Him might be saved. If (adulterers, homosexuals, lesbians, fornicators and you) believe in Him they are not condemned; but if (adulterers, homosexuals, lesbians, fornicators and you) do not believe, they are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
A loving God and Savior warns mankind of unfulfilling lifestyles and died that they might have a fulfilled life and live a lifestyle that will be fulfilling for time and eternity. All you need to do is call out to him for mercy, asking him to be your savior and your sins will be forgiven. You will have the power to change your lifestyle.
A loving God doesn't save you to continue living an unfulfilling lifestyle but he saves you out of, or from, your sins. *14 Your lifestyle will then conform to the conduct God has said will bring peace, joy, happiness, and a glorious anticipation of eternity.

Does evil exist?
The professor of a university challenged his students with this question. “Did God create everything that exists?”
A student answered bravely, “Yes, he did”.
“God created everything?” The professor asked.
“Yes, sir,” the student replied.
The professor answered, “If God created everything, then God created evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then God is evil.”
The student became quiet before such an answer.
The professor was quite pleased with himself and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the “belief in God” was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, “Can I ask you a question professor?” “Of course”, replied the professor. The student stood up and asked, “Professor, does cold exist?”
“What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?” The students snickered at the young man’s question.
The young man replied, “In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody and every object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (- 460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have too little heat.
The student continued. “Professor, does darkness exist?”
The professor responded, “Of course it does”.
The student replied, “Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton’s prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn’t this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present.”
Finally the young man asked the professor. “Sir, does evil exist?”
Now uncertain, the professor responded, “Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man’s inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. “These manifestations are nothing else but evil.”
To this the student replied, “Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love, that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God’s love present in his heart. It’s like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light.”

Jesus Help When We Shout to Him
Saya menulis kesaksian ini untuk mengingatkan teman akan sesuatu hal yang penting yang mungkin terlupakan. Saya prihatin dengan peningkatan jumlah kejahatan yang dilakukan hanya untuk mendapatkan sejumlah uang haram. Uang hasil susah payah yang sedikit lebih baik dari uang banyak hasil kejahatan. Bukan munafik tapi saya tahu mana yang benar dan mana yang salah.
Pada bulan desember 2007 kemarin kampus-kampus d seluruh kota yogyakarta sepakat untuk mengadakan natal gabungan kampus se-kota Yogyakarta, jadi yang diundang adalah mahasiswa kristiani yang berada d 121 kampus d kota Yogyakarta. Ternyata pada waktu pemilihan panitia, tidak tahu ada angin apa, saya terpilih menjadi koordinator dana usaha. Pada mulanya saya merasa biasa saja karena saya pikir ini hanya natal biasa yang semuanya udah beres, hanya perlu sewa gedung dan uangnya paling-paling maksimal 5 jutaan, lagian waktunya masih 3 bulan lagi. Pada bulan-bulan pertama kepanitiaan belum sering rapat, palingan ketemuan 2 minggu sekali untuk bicarakan progress, biasalah mahasiswa banyak kesibukan yang lain (tugas, praktikum, pelayanan, dll) Waktu terus berjalan, waktu itu persiapan mulai dari bulan Oktober. Namun karena berbagai macam latar belakang kampus, berbeda gereja, dan kegiatan kuliah, kepanitian tidak berjalan begitu lancar untuk beberapa seksinya, termasuk seksi saya, yaitu dana usaha. Saya cukup bingung juga karena sistem rekruitment kepanitiaan adalah sesuai minat dan tidak ada teman-teman panitia yang berminat masuk ke bagian saya. Sampai waktu satu setengah bulan berlalu anggota saya baru 5 orang termasuk saya, ditambah lagi ternyata dana yang dibutuhkan cukup besar, kurang lebih 22 juta rupiah. Saya percaya, bukan kebetulan waktu itu jadi koordinator dana usaha dan itu merupakan bagian saya, ada juga bagian lain, ada juga pendoa syafaat, saya sempat herankarena kerjanya hanya doa melulu dan menentukan jadwal doa berantai serta penetapan jadwal puasa. Gmana mau dapat uang kalo hanya itu-itu aja kerjaannya? Aneh kan? Tapi saya gak ambil pusing, jalani aja, karena saya juga sibuk dengan bidang saya sendiri.
Danus juga melakukan usaha jual "dress-code", itupun banyak yang ngutang, bahkan ada yang mau keluar kepanitiaan karena alasan "dress-code". Pokoknya kacau keadaan dana usaha di waktu yang 15 hari lagi.
Akhirnya pendoa menangkap bahwa dana usaha selama ini dari danus, belum mengerti apa maksudnya bekerja untuk Tuhan. Saya dan anggota ditegor dan diharapkan bertobat, terutama saya sebagai koordinator, pemimpin. Saya ditegur bahwa bukan kekuatan dan gagah yang memampukan, namun dalam Yesus saja semua akan jadi. Saya dikasih ayat mengenai kisah Maria dan Marta, siapa yang memilih bagian terbaik(teman-teman dapat baca di Alkitab). Begitu membaca ayat-ayat tersebut saya merasa ditegur langsung oleh Tuhan. Saya mengerti apa yang saya lakukan baik di mata manusia, tetapi belum tentu baik di mata Allah. Saya ambil waktu berdoa dan menyembah Tuhan dan berkata,"Yesus, saya capek, saya tidak sanggup mengerjakan ini, Tuhan tolong saya. Saya tahu bahwa saya tidak akan mendapat malu di mata panitia yang lain". Saya memohon pada Tuhan. Besoknya saya tidak ambil pusing dengan proposal yang menumpuk. Saya tidak memaksa harus habis, saya dan anggota lain hanya kerjakan jika ada waktu luang di luar kuliah, selebihny ga tahu.
Tahu ga teman-teman apa yang luar biasa? Di waktu yang tinggal 2 minggu, Tuhan benar-benar menunjukkan bahwa ia Allah yang besar dan Raja berkuasa dengan perbuatannya yang ajaib. Tiba-tiba banyak telepon yang masuk ke HP sekretaris yang ingin memberi bantuan, baik dana, nasihat dan tenaga sampai-sampai sekretaris kami kewalahan. Kami menjadi benar-benar sibuk dengan pertemuan donatur, ambil uang, sharing visi, publikasi. Danus yang dulu cape keluyuran CARI dana, sekarang jadi cape AMBIL dana. Coba teman-teman bayangin, dari yang gak punya apa-apa, dalam 2 minggu 22 juta terpenuhi! Tapi Yesus, bukan Allah yang kecil, orang yang berserah padanya kan selalu berkelimpahan, tidak hanyaBanyak cerita seru dan lucu mengenai proses yang Tuhan berikan. Saya benar-benar ditraining langsung sama Tuhan gimana cara lobby dengan sponsor, bicara dengan orang "besar", memotivasi orang, menambah teman, terlebih lagi saya yang agak "bandel" ini disadarkan bahwa betapa saya punya Tuhan yang hebat. Saya jadi tahu juga bahwa semua orang punya bagian masing-masing dalam bekerja untuk Tuhan.
Saya benar-benar terpesona dengan cara kerja Tuhan yang luar biasa ajaib. Selain itu tahu gak teman-teman, uang dari dana usaha pada akhirnya bukan hanya berkecukupan tapi malah kelebihan sampai hampir 6 juta rupiah. Uang itu sekarang dipegang bendahara kepanitiaan dan akan digunakan u/ menyatakan kemuliaan Tuhan atas kota Yogyakarta. Saya tahu bahwa semua itu bukan karena kekuatan dana usaha, tapi itulah hasil dari semua kesatuan panitia yang mau berserah pada Tuhan Yesus dan rela bayar harga dengan puasa dan sebagainya. Menurut teman-teman, kegiatan seperti apa yang harus dilakukan? Teman-teman boleh tanya Tuhan dulu.Ada ide?

TUHAN MENOLONG TEPAT PADA WAKTUNYA

Saya mengalami masalah piutang yang sangat besar, karena toko yang saya hutangi tidak bisa membayar hutang pada saya tepat waktu, karena dia tidak dibayar pelanggannya. Dia
menyatakan dirinya bangkrut. Padahal semua notasudah jatuh tempo dan pelanggan saya minta maaf karena tidak sanggup membayar. Rencananya, dia hanya akan mencicil setiap hari, dengan jumlah yang sedikit, padahal hutang saya ke supplier sudah jatuh tempo dan harus dibayar. Saya tidak tahu harus bagaimana, semua aset yang saya punya seandainya dijual pun tidak bisa menutupi hutang-hutang saya. Akhirnya saya berpuasa. Saya berkata kepada Tuhan, “Tuhan, saya tidak akan berhenti berpuasa, sampai saya mendapati jalan keluar.” Saat menjalani puasa, saya mendapat ayat di Amsal 16:9, “Hati manusia memikir-mikirkan jalannya, tetapi Tuhanlah yang menentukan arah langkahnya.” Dari firman itu, saya mendapatkan kekuatan, dan Tuhan pun mulai membuka jalan. Suatu malam saya dipanggil pelanggan saya yang memiliki toko yang cukup ramai, di Wonosari. Dia berkata, “Kamu kelola toko saya, sekarang saya tidak punya waktu,” Saya kaget saat mendengar pernyataan itu, saya sadar ternyata Tuhan masih sayang pada saya. Hati saya berkata, “Akhinya ada setapak awan yang muncul. “ Saya mulai bisa menata cash flow, karena saya setiap hari ada penjualan tunai. Saya mulai tenang. Namun,
ketenangan itu tidak berlangsung lama, ada orangorang yang tidak senang melihat saya mulai bangkit. Mereka mengisukan bahwa toko saya mulai bangkrut, dan beberapa orang disuruh berhati-hati agar tidak mengambil barang di toko saya. Berawal dari isu tersebut supplier saya mulai ketakutan dan mulai jauh dari saya satu persatu. Selanjutnya saya datang pada Tuhan. Saya berkata, “Gawat nih Tuhan, kalau begini terus. Sampai kapan saya bisa tahan.” Lalu Tuhan berbicara pada saya dalam Mazmur 55:23, “Serahkanlah kuatirmu kepada Tuhan. Maka ia akan memelihara engkau, tidak untuk selama-lamanya dibiarkannya orang benar itu goyah.” Tindakan selanjutnya yang saya lakukan, malam hari saya keliling ke rumah supplier agar mereka mau menyediakan barang-barang lagi. Hasilnya, ada yang bilang tidak berani. Saya mulai sedih dan agak patah semangat. Namun untungnya, Tuhan berbicara lagi melalui kitab Amsal 17:22, “Hati yang gembira adalah obat yang manjur, tetapi semangat yang patah mengeringkan tulang.” Dari firman inilah akhirnya saya bersemangat lagi. Setiap malam saya berkeliling ke tempat para supplier untuk meyakinkan mereka. Dari usaha ini, ada satu supplier yang percaya, dan berkata, “Kamu boleh ambil barang pagi, sorenya kamu setor BG yang kamu dapat.” Saya diberi waktu selama, 1,5 bulan kerjasama dengan cara seperti itu. Tuhan menolong saya, barang yang saya jual laris. Tuhan juga beri janji di Yesaya 49:17, “Orangorang yang membangun engkau datang bersegera, tetapi orang-orang yang merombak dan merusak engkau meninggalkan engkau.” Paginya, setelah saya mendapat ayat itu, supplier yang baru berdatangan menawarkan barang. Saya pun berbicara jujur kepada setiap mereka, “Pak, apa
bapak ngga takut, kalau saya tidak bisa bayar?”
Bapak tersebut menjawab, “Saya percaya, kamu pasti bisa bayar. “ Saya kaget mendengar jawaban itu. Rasanya aneh, kalau bukan Tuhan yang menggerakkan hati mereka, pasti tidak mungkin. Pertolongan Tuhan bukan hanya berhenti di sana. Kemudian ada teman yang sama-sama bisnis barang-barang elektronik datang ke toko saya, dia bertanya, “Tokomu kok tidak penuh? Kalau aku titip barang gimana? Kalau laku baru kamu bayar ke saya.” Pelanggan yang dulu saya supply, kini mau membantu menyupply saya. Yesaya 49:23B jadi kenyataan dalam hidup saya, “Orang-orang yang menanti-nantikan Aku, tidak akan mendapat malu.”
Benar, bahwa Tuhan tidak mempermalukan saya. Ternyata Tuhan buka jalan bagi saya. Saya
mengalami mujizat dan musim yang aneh. Musim hujan, toko-toko pada sepi, tapi saya mengalami hujan berkat. Banyak toko yang membeli barang saya dengan cash.
Ternyata lewat masalah ini:
1. Saya diajari tentang hati hamba, merendahkan
diri, tidak sombong.
2. Saya dididik untuk mengasihi orang-orang yang
membuat saya susah dan mendoakan mereka.

Konsep Kekristenan : Keselamatan
Kali ini saya akan mecoba menjelaskan hal keKristenan yang dasar banget yaitu mengenai Keselamatan. Manusia adalah ciptaan Tuhan yang tidak pernah lepas dari apa yang namanya dosa, bahkan menurut pengamatan saya ketika manusia bergaul dengan lingkungannya, kebanyakan orang telah melakukan kesalahan (dosa) berulang-kali dalam setiap jammya. Dosa inilah yang membuat manusia kehilangan apa yang disebut kemuliaan Allah (Roma 3:23). Dosa layaknya seperti virus yang menggerogoti manusia setiap detiknya untuk merusak setiap pribadi tersebut. Tahu gak teman-teman bahwa setiap kebaikan yang kita lakukan sebenarnya tidak bias menyelamatkan kita dari apa yang namanya belenggu dosa. Bahwa segala perbuatan baik itu sudah seharusnya dilakukan sebagai pengikut Kristus yang merupakan cerminan pribadi Allah. Lalu bagaimana kita bisa lepas dari apa yang namanya belenggu dosa? Disinilah teman-teman semua perlu mengeal apa yang disebut dengan kasih karunia. Secara gamblang saya dapat mengatakan bahwa kasih karunia adalah belas kasihan yang tidak patut kita terima, bukan karena usaha, bukan hasil pekerjaan (Ef 2:8-9 ; Tit 3:5), tetapi karena pemberian ketika ketika kita telah menerima suatu pribadi, yaitu YESUS sebagai Tuhan dan Juru Selamat (KPR 4:12 ; Yoh 10:9 ; Yoh 14:6). Dengan menerima KRISTUS YESUS maka keselamatan adalah sesuatu yang 100% persen asli dan kehidupan kekal di Sorga adalah suatu jaminan hidup (Yoh 11:26). Keselamatan yang diterima dari Kristus bukanlah layaknya sebuah “cap-stempel” yang dapat hilanga dalam waktu tertentu. Keselamatan tersebut adalah abadi, tidak akan pernah hilang walaupun melakukan kesalahan dan jatuh dalam dosa. Keselamatan dari Allah tidak dapat dipisahkan oleh apapun yang ada di dunia ini tidak terbatas ruang dan waktu (Rm 8 :38-39). Namun ketika kita melakukan suatu dosa Tuhan tidak akan tinggal diam, kita akan dididik menurut cara Tuhan yang luar biasa dan penuh kasih sayang yang bahkan seorang “paranormal” paling sakti seantero jagad rayapun gak bakalan ngerti (Maz 89:32-34). Memang sebagian teman-teman berkata bagaiman hal itu mungkin? Bukankah jika dinalar hal itu tidak masuk akal, apalagi teman-teman semuakan orang berpendidikan? Memang itulah ALLAHku yang gak bias dinalar oleh siapapun, gak bisa diukur oleh apapun dan gak terbatas oleh apapun karena dia yang punya segalanya. Tapi Dia talah mengajarkan apa yang disebut dengan IMAN yang hanya dengan hal itu saja aku bisa ketemu dan mengenal TUHANku.
